It's been a while since I've updated this thing so I just wanted to share what I've been up to...

- Currently finishing up The Reed Effect's new album. These are are by far the funnest, catchiest and most solid songs we've ever written. This album is going to sound killer and I'll be directing a video for the first single in March. we'll be needing a bunch of extras so if you'd like to be a part of it let me know.

- Residency at Kellys Landing is still going strong, soo strong in fact that they've asked me to DJ a bunch of their internal and corporate events. I've also joined two DJ companies who'll be providing me with some more work one of which is House Party TO and the other is 586 Events in Kitchener whom I'll be acting as a Toronto correspondent for.

- Joined Gracie Barra with a renewed focus on training, competing and improving in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The team has a great vibe and the positive energy is inspiring me to train hard everyday. Myself and a bunch of others on the team will be competing at an upcoming tournament in Ottawa on the 23rd. Looking forward to it.

- Still working on my solo music, I've recorded a couple songs that sounds fantastic and will be recording a couple more next month. Hasn't been going as quickly as I anticipated but as you can see above I've been busy with a lot of other things. But I can guarantee that the music is sounding great and that the release of a full album is on the horizon.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading.

I recently got the opportunity to shoot with Dave Hynes. Dave is one of my favourite photographers in Toronto and I've had my eye on his work for a while now. Getting to work with Dave was super exciting because I've been watching him crank out some of the most stellar photos I've ever seen.

Having been in several bands over the last 12 years I've been a part of more photo shoots than I can remember, and Dave Hynes is by far the best and most professional photographer I've ever worked with. I wanted the mood of these photos to embody the music I've been working on the last few months, and that's exactly what we were able to produce. Some amazing shots that are mature, organic, classy and yet still have a slight edge to them.

Thanks to Dave I've got some amazing materials to work with going forward with this project. Click on the photo to view the rest of Dave's work or click on the PHOTOS tab above. Don't forget to keep checking back for updates. I've been busy in the studio and have a lot more planned for the rest of the year.

My primary focus, my heart, my soul and my passion for the last nine years is coming to an end. Leaving the band was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make, but it's for the very best of reasons.

Managing finances, time, schedules, rehearsals, shows, merchandise, creativity, booking and more between five personalities is no easy task. Being in a band like Last Bullet comes with as much stress and pressure as it does pride and enjoyment. I've given this project everything I have and I was as confident as a person can be about our chances at success. But no matter how hard we worked, money we spent or time we put in, the results never met our expectations.

I learned practically everything I know about the music industry and about being a performer with Last Bullet. Every skill I have from songwriting to directing to producing, editing, etc, I owe to my experiences with this band. I'm proud of what we accomplished, we left the world with three albums of music and hundreds of musical performances that I know will stand the test of time, and I'll always look back on those memories fondly.

Thank you to everyone who believed in us, supported us and appreciated what we were trying to do. Our final show will be January 27th at The Horseshoe Tavern along side some amazing bands and good friends of ours in Crown Lands, Hot Lips and Ready The Prince. After multiple studio sessions, producers and a boat load of setbacks "A Strange Curiosity" has finally come to fruition and will release everywhere online this November 10th.

I had a lot of fun making this album with my very good friends and talented fellow musician brothers Kirk and Chris Reed. We enjoyed this entire process and we have great chemistry when it comes to writing music. Things seem to happen instantaneously and evolve at light speed when the three of us get in a room. I can't wait for you to hear the album and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it. In addition to playing drums on the album, I also played all percussion, keys, the trombone and helped produce these songs in the studio. "A Strange Curiosity" can now be pre-ordered on iTunes or Amazon.  Click the picture below if you'd like to pre-order your own copy now.

In the mean time here's a video I directed and edited for the first single off the album "No Way Outta Here".
